Chronicle from the lockdown: about a week.

in OCD4 years ago

I'm starting to lose count od day since the lockdown was coming here in Italy, but it's about a week since we are all closed at home (we can go out just to work, to buy food or for special needed).

In my family there's no infected people and so it's ok.

Today was an "ordinary day" in isolation: a bit of fresh hair in my own backyard, I worked for a bit on my paintings, I cleaned my home, etc... The main thing I'm trying to do is to put away fear and anxiety, but it's not simple. At first, I'm using social just few time at day, because everything there looks a sort of jungle now. People who have to stay at home all the day decided to use social media to take their frustrations out writing post or commenting on the social media in a rude way and now, when I watch the tv, the level of my anxiety go up.

To solve the situation (to live the isolation in a quiet way) I need to relax my mind and I really need to smile, so I'm watching a lot of funny meme about the paper toilet and, at the bottom of ths post, you'll see my own "treasure". Just to know, here we have enough paper toilet for everyone of us, but at the end, maybe we'll use the same way our grand parents used 50-70 years ago: the paper of the newspaper :D :D :D

Well, To share some good vibes with you, I want to show you the oil painting on paper I made this morning:

In the following pic you can see a step of the process and a detail:

Now it's time to show you my own "treasure" (the pic I took is not so good, sorry), just to make you smile:

See ya soon and remember: stay safe, take care of you and yours.

The painting looks so hopeful. I've heard what happened to Italy and it's sad to hear those. I saw videos of people playing instruments in their balcony though and people singing together despite being quarantined and I'm glad people still find ways to entertain themselves. We are currently on a lockdown too but thankfully we don't have that many cases yet. Take care Italians! Love from the Philippines

Thanks so much for your nice words, Hiddenblade <3 We are trying to boost our morale in any way, included some sort of "flash mob" at the balconis or at the windows, everyone at home. It's not simple to stay up, but all tgether we can do it and, at the end, everyting will be ok .
