A lot of beautiful cosplayers (Lucca comics and games - part II)
Have you ever heard about Lucca Comics in Italy? It's one of the bigger festival of comic books and games in Europe and it placed from about 50 years in the awesome city of Lucca, very close to the city where I live! As you can understand (and as I wrote in some of my previous posts) I was there many times in my life, since my daughter was a child! In the past years I loved to wear funny costumes, one of my favorite was the costume of Lulu from Final Fantasy, but I wore also some different medieval-style clotes during those years. Cause my age, now I prefer just to watch the other cosplayers. Maybe the next year I'll sew something for me and my hubby, but this year I was in my usual, anonymous, clothes ^_^
Just to know, some numbers about the event:
- the festival was from the October 31th to the November 4th
- 250,000 tickets sold during the 5 days. Saturday (when we was there) there were about 70.000 tickets sold!
- about 500,000 people along the streets of the city, just to "breath" the atmosphere of the comicon between the beautiful cosplayers.
- the area where the festival was placed is inside the ancient center of the city, about 30,000 mq
Well, after the first post I did here Saturday night sharing some of the pics I took to the many cosplayers there, now I want to show you the other photos I did!
I want to start with a couple of beautiful girls with fantastic costumes:
The steampunk style looked an appreciated style by the cosplayers:
Strange creatures walked along the streets of Lucca. The bigger one said to the other one that he could have some problems to talk throught the crowd, but he didn't have so much problems to do it, because people was so interested to take some pics of them ^_^
There was also Dracula the vampire in the version of Francis Ford Coppola ^_^
A city where you can see Legolas from the Lord of the Ring who is walkking along the street is really a magical city, right?
Directly from the past, there were also 2 funny dinosaurs!
Lucca comics and games it's always a funny event for family! As you can see in the following pic, the Addams family walked there in quiet and harmony ^_^
Well, it's all for this year! It was really the best event I know in my area and I'm happy to be there to enjoy the funny atmosphere between so many cosplayers!

I've heard japanese fans really get into the spirit of the event as well
I've been to a couple of events in the UK, and while there were some in costume (Some excellent) it was never on that scale
Maybe you should try the Goths' weekends in Whitby.
I didn't see this lass myself, but she's now the wallpaper on my desktop
I can't remember the image source after all these years, but I found it on a site when looking up the weekend
admins: obviously feel free to remove this if you feel fit to do so
In the past there were a lot of goth costumes at the Lucca Comics, but this year it seems people loves more the steampunk style than the goth style ^^ It was really a big festival with many people from different countries and a funny things was to see the cosplayers also inside the train to go there ^^
