My Actifit Report Card: July 18 2022
Gold!!!!🤗
10:30 AM, we have been planning today’s hike to the “Gold Mine trail” for over a Month!😊
This Historic trail has several muddy stream crossings, so we planned this hike for mid July.
Heavy rain all last night, Silvertop was hoping it stopped by morning…….😲
Jan’s friend Tamara had joined us for the first time hiking with us.
We drove about a mile of country road to the trailhead, Jan and Tamara parked at the trailhead behind Liz and Silvertop’s car.
“Silvertop, I take lots of photos and I post to Facebook, do you mind if your photo shows up on my Facebook?”
Lol…… Silvertop the photography paparazzi, just got the green light to take LOTS of photos!😇🤗
Aprox two miles, all uphill we arrived at the site of the Gold Mine. The fourth, fifth, and sixth photos show the Gold safe cemented into a solid rock hillside.
In the fourth photo you can see several piles of “Gold coins” that Liz found in the safe!😇
“Quick Liz, pick those coins up before Jan and Tamara notice them Lol!”🤣
So many trails to explore, and I didn’t know how far to hike with this being the very first time Tamara hiked with us……..
I watched my watch……….
Two hours uphill we stopped at a cross road. Everyone enjoyed a lunch, while Silvertop for the third attempt hiked up a dangerous trail trying to find the second Gold mining tunnel.
Twice before on previous hikes, I abandoned this very narrow cliff hiking trail.😅
It looks like someone has been trying to widen this trail…….
The Ladies were a quarter of a mile downhills eating……
Strike three…… Silvertop will come back on a future hike, maybe a bit less muddy, and a little bit less slippery!😇
We called our hike for today, and started our return downhill………..
A little over a three hour hike!😊
“That was nice Liz, we need to return and hike this again soon!”🥰
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊

Indeed, we do! We need to take Tamara up to the cabin so she can see that end of things!
It was a good hike and a good time with my best friend! 🤗😘💞
