Both Liz, and Silvertop have been working hard all week, and we promised PEPE we would take him to the Ocean this weekend!😊
Today turned out to be an extremely low tide day.
The Mrs and I hiked down to the location of a turn of the 20th century, salmon cannery…….PEPE decided to swim his way along the shoreline!☺️
“ Be careful of that kayak PEPE! “ 😮
I spotted this large ship anchor, that you can see in the first photo, partially submerged in the water!😊
This was probably from a large cargo ship that was used for transporting the canned salmon to locations around the country.

This large rock that Liz and PEPE, are standing next to, is usually almost completely submerged in saltwater.
Look Close…………..
This isn’t a rock, this is a huge pile of scrap metal, tin to be exact, waste from the salmon cannery!
Apparently, in the 1900s they didn’t believe in recycling, they just pushed this huge pile of scrap metal out into the bay!🙄
The fourth photo gives you an idea where this cannery was, you can see that mountain of scrap tin far off in the distance near the shoreline.🙄
Northwesterners can’t take the heat………
Last week we had highs in the 40 degree Fahrenheit, today we had 85!🥵

Located on this boardwalk is a favorite coffee shop of ours.
This coffee shop has a beautiful view of the bay, and during warm weather they open up a large glass garage door, connecting the outside dining with the inside!😊
The sign at the door said no dogs, but nothing about little green frogs Lol! 🐸
Liz ordered mocha Frappuccino for the three of us.
