Fresh Snow on the Canadian Mountains!😊
It’s Christmas time, and Silvertop spent the afternoon shopping!☺️
One of the local bridges is still reduced to one lane because of flood damage to the structure, so I drove the long way around to shop in town.
The first and second photos were taken just before the U.S. Canadian border crossing.
Driving this North/South road gives a spectacular view of the Canadian mountains!😊
I pulled over just one block before the Canadian border to snap the second photo!
Silvertop got beeped at for pulling over to take this photo……….😳
I guess they weren’t in the Christmas spirit Lol!😇🤣
As I shopped the clouds thickened…….
Hmmm, another storm………
The flood damage was severe for the valley towns. On one of my hiking trails down in the valley, the creek poured over it’s banks sending tons of gravel, mud, and sand across the road and into a home on the other side.
The house is condemned, and this hiking trail network is closed because of potential future floods!😮
Flash floods can trap hikers! Without any warning a wall of water can come rushing down the Mountain……..extremely dangerous!
Years ago in a County park in Cincinnati, I saw this happen……
It took a car and tumbled it down a creek…….nothing to mess around with!😲
After a short hike to the High Trail, I made it home to “stash” the presents!😇
Tomorrow is wrapping day, just don’t tell Liz!🥰
