AWESOME FOOD, Daly City, California
After attending a book signing event in Alameda, California, my friend and I decided to stop by for dinner on our way to San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
As we crossed the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge we hurriedly searched for restaurants using our iPhones. The only criteria in the choice of restaurnt is that it must be high-rated with 4 to 4.5 stars.
We found several, and choose to go to CHIBOG located in Daly City, just a few miles from SFO.

The restaurant is located in a strip mall. The restaurant's Facebook page has this description:
Chibog! (CHI-bog) verb, "to eat" in Filipino slang. We are all about good old Filipino comfort food, just like mama makes it. Come by and give us a try because 'it's belly good!"
My friend and I do love to experiment with different cuisines, and wanted to try this very casual restaurant.
These were the dishes we ordered from the menu.

Pork Binagoognan
Sizzling Pork Binagoongan- Deep Fried pork belly sauteed in shrimp paste with onions, tomatoes, and eggplant, $12.95
Barbecue
Bbq- Choice of pork or chicken, $10.95
Sizzling Sisig
Fried pork or chicken or a combination of both, then sautéed in special sauces and spices, $12.95
Laing
Taro leaves cooked in coconut milk with minced pork, $9.95
Chicharon Bulaklak
Deep fried pork ruffle fat, $9.95
Crispy Tadyang
Deep fried beef short ribs: $15.95
Neither my friend or I were familiar with any of these dishes, except for the Barbecue. The Binagoongan was sweet and salty and the Laing had a delectible taste to it. The Chicharon Bulaklak was chewy delicious, I loved it very much! The Sisig is supposedly a very popular dish in this restaurant. I would have loved to eat these in tacos with fresh salsa. We had steamed white rice for carbs!
We ate very well, and enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. And since it just the two of us girls, we had lots of left-overs.
Needless to say, we were so satisfied, and proceeded to the airport with happy tummies!

It was sooooo good. I have to tell others about it! They gave us dipping sauces of vinegar with onions, garlic and green chilis with two of the dishes. I should have, but I did not try the dipping sauce. The food was good without the dipping sauce.

OMG that is mouth watering to say the least! Sisig is amazing and I really enjoy the type of food over all. Qlmost as much as Thai or Chinese. Thanks for sharing!
