These are the Monsters on my Team that have the Blast ability

General Strategy

When I chose the lineup for a battle, I keep foremost in my mind that the objective of this game is to do as much damage to the enemy while reducing the possible damages on my own team.

This is the primary reason why my first choice of Monsters to field in battles are those with "offensive" abilities rather than "defensive" abilities. It is a the overarching strategy that I employ in all battles. Blast is an offensive ability.

In this battle, both teams had the same number of Monsters in play. The advantage of my Team was (a) all Monsters have abilities, (b) I had only one defensive Monster (Furious Chicken), whereas the opponent team had two defensive Monsters both of which have no ability and one does not have any attack (Peaceful Giant, Furious Chicken).

The Monsters I chose for this battle have abilities that either delivers counter attacks or delivers an added damage to the enemy Monster.

  • Spineback Turtle, when hit, will retaliate with Thorn.

  • Furious Chicken will increase attack strength and speed with Enrage.

  • Halfling Achemist with its Halving ability will cut in half the target Monster's attack each time it hits its target.

  • Pirate Archer has the BLAST ABILITY. See how the ability works:

The Blast ability on a Monster (and a Summoner) is a very powerful tool as it will allow a Monster to do damage behind the tank as it directs damage to the tank. The primary target of both Range and Magic Monsters is the opponent's tank. A Monster with the Blast ability can potentially even take out a Melee, Range or Magic opponent. This is because a Monster with the Blast ability does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster, i.e., two hits to two separate monsters for every attack!
