Wild Auction!

I came across a very interesting auction recently. Of course, it is on FeeBay. The auction is for several gold Star Mining ingots. These are old mining ingots that turned up in the US around 1960-70. They are linked directly to John F. Ford. In fact, that have been proven to be fantasy ingots. Fantasy ingots are ingots that do not have a purpose or meaning. They were produced during a much later date then said to be. Often times they are a made to look like an old mining company. Then fake story is made up of this unusual mining company. That is how fantasy ingots come to be. Hence - FANTASY (made up).

Due to the fact these Star Mining ingots are related directly to John J Ford. It makes them valuable because of his fame and influence in numismatics. His hoard/collection was one of a kind.

☝️It is interesting to see that these popped up in the United Kingdom. Most of the time US manufactured ingots of this caliber stay local. I have even seen a strong enough pattern to say most are in the western US.

At the end of the day 25k for almost 13oz of gold is a strong premium. It will still be interesting to watch ..
