Here's a cool behind the scenes post from @pit-bullion. Before he started pouring silver, he did a lot of gold gilding and antiquing of coins and rounds. It looks like a pretty serious process with all the chemicals and electricity.

I think @pit-bullion made a good choice by switching to pouring silver. I don't mind gilded coins, but they aren't my favourite. Custom pour silver on the other hand, well I have all the time in the world for custom poured silver.
