I made a Patreon account. 👏😊 // Taking the next step
For a while now i had a Patreon account. I never really finished it nor did i visit it much. Steem might be the main reason for that since it does serve the same function more or less.
When i started on STEEM i never really thought it would ever be possible to have any kind of revenue stream from my content but over time that opinion changed.
It changed so much that it introduced me to a whole world of new opportunities.
You have to understand that before Steem i never thought it was even a possibility that i would ever be creating videos on a regular basis. That thought never crossed my mind. Besides a few gigs i would do i was always a classical musician that knew little about the world of youtube, let alone Steem or crypto currencies. :)
I like to think of myself as a Steem-made creator for that exact reason. My whole "content creator" story started here.
But lately i was thinking to myself after the last few videos i posted that did really well imo:
Some people seem to enjoy what i do. Why not try and give this content creator business a legitimate shot?
I have already slowly been working towards improving my content adding a green screen, working a bit more on my audio editing, sharing my content on #cent, #youtube, #twitter, #reddit, #Minds etc...
I also joined a number of discord, reddit communities where i am active.
This might sound not so humble of me to think, but a thought crossed my mind.
Steem has a lot of content creators come to steem but steem has never really created a content creator that has gone out there and did well.
I dont know if i will do well, i dont know even if i can compete with what is out there, but why not try? It could fail spectacularly but sometimes you have to take a leap and see where you end up.
I believe in myself and i hope i can find an audience out there
As a relatively new creator i still have a lot of work to do but i think i am improving. My next stop is to up the video quality of my content.
I have went on long enough here. :)
At the end I want to say thank you to everyone that has been with me all this time and if you ever decide that supporting my content is a good idea, i promise that all of it will go into improving my content and promoting Steem through my music.
