Summer pictures from the beach at Nordmela
After several positive comments from summer pictures from Andøya, I post some new photos from the same area today.
The pictures show evening pictures of the beach just south of Nordmela. The low light in the evening creates an exceptional mood over the landscape. And the combination of view, house, beach and sea with a beautiful sky and clouds with soft tones that creates an extra beauty.
Gorgeous photos and landscapes, Dear @Siggjo! I told my family about your stories about Norway. I was asked a question that is very suitable for these photos. Is there a time in Norway when you can swim in such clear water, or is it very cold in Norway?
Yes, it is nice to bathe there in the month of August @Barski
I have done so myself. It is not particularly hot in the sea, but the temperature can be about 15 degrees. Earlier this year, the temperature will be lower, and not so many baths in June and July.
Even in August when the temperature can reach up to 15 degrees, not everyone will bathe in such a temperature. For my part, it will be a quick dive before I go ashore again.
However, children and young people can stay longer in such temperatures.
In Finnmark, which is the northernmost county in Norway, the air temperature in both July and August can reach about 30 degrees.
For example, in the summer of 1972 when I was in the military in Lakselv at Banak Air Station, the temperature was over 30 degrees for more than one week. Such temperatures are not every year, but some summers have such pleasant temperatures.
At Andøya I have experienced a luft temperature of up to 27-28 degrees, but it is short-lived. The usual temperature in the summer in the air is more around 15 degrees.
The Gulf Stream is keeping the seawater around Norway at a relatively comfortable temperature.
It's amazing! I never knew that. I thought that the proximity of the Arctic Ocean makes bathing impossible.

The Bible describes many spiritual gifts, such as the minimum one, the gift of teaching, you have, @Siggjo. You are a fisherman like Peter. Eat from the fruits of your hands. I mean cooking fried mackerel that you yourself caught. This is according to the Word. I would not be surprised if you say that you are a pastor in the local Church. Even if it is not so, you are doing everything right, wonderful!
Yes, I have been a teacher in my working life @barski.
I am not a pastor in my church, but in the service, I have read text from the Bible for some time.
It is a task in the church where laymen receive tasks that they help the priest with, and reading the Bible's text is one of them.
The other things you do get right, and I think they are among my spiritual gifts.
