Skogmarihand
Skogmarihand (Dactylorhiza maculata fuchsii) høyrer til Marihandslekta (Dactylorhiza) er ei slekt av blomsterplanter i orkidéfamilien (Orchidaceae). Orkidefamilien er den mest artsrike blomsterfamilien og skal ha om lag 25 000 artar. I Noreg er det funne om lag 25 artar.
Skogmarihand er ei vakker representant for marihandslekta og har ein fin rosa farge med mørkerosa teikningar på.
Planten, som er på bileta, vaks i ein bjørkeskog like sør for Nordmela på Andøya.

Common Spotted Orchid is a beautiful representative of Dactylorhiza and has a lovely pink colour with dark pink drawings.
The plant, which is on the pictures, is grown in one birch forest just south of Nordmela on Andøya.

What a beautiful flower and very informative article, I didn't know that the orchid species were so numerous, 25 seems too many to me! There should be all colors and sizes. The image you capture is very beautiful.
