So many whales, so little time …

Hello, Steemers, I’m SifuPhil, a retired martial arts instructor-turned-writer living in the Armpit of Pennsylvania, also known as Wilkes-Barre, a town so ugly and boring that they had to come up with a hyphenated name to give it a little class.

But I don't mind  - I'm engaged to a wonderful lady in Canada where hopefully I'll be moving soon. A condo on an island - not a bad gig if you can get it. I must have charmed her with my wit and savoir-faire.

That, or she just has a hankerin' for a 6', green-eyed, 9-toed monster. (That last thing, well … that takes some explaining … I'll save that for another time.)

Anyway, I have four books published along with a few hundred articles in both print and media, as well as tens of thousands of posts in forums ranging from martial arts to spirituality to cat spanking.;

Yeah, that's a thing. It gets lonely here in Armpit Land.

I also spend a lot of time online running twenty sites, hanging out in black-hat forums and answering emails asking about my mental health.

Worked as a chemist, an industrial safety manager, the aforementioned martial arts instructor (for 40 years), a bodyguard, and a bouncer at strip clubs from New York to California with unplanned stops in Texas, Florida, and New Jersey.

As Steve Miller said,

I've seen and done a lot of things in my life: I have no regrets. I see myself in the mellow phase of life now, happy to be betrothed to a fascinating woman who shares so many values with me, yet having enough differences to keep it interesting.

For instance: she is a psychotherapist specializing in PTSD cases from vets and immigrants. She wants to save the world. She is socially conscious to the nth degree, always talking about women's rights, indigenous people's struggles, and generally playing Mother Earth to any and all.

I just gauge how much of a threat strangers are, strut around all puffy, and continue to dig that hole in the ground to be ready for that zombie invasion that I KNOW is sure to come.

I can't help it - I was born a Libertarian.

I DO have one unanswered question about SteemIt that I can't seem to find an answer to: is it acceptable to post an article written by me and already posted on my blog? I understand the need to keep a distance from plagiarism, but with proper attribution would this be alright?
