Dtube, Explore"Seureudong" expedition is a hidden marine paradise in southern Aceh
Seureudong. Its name is taken from a small island that is found there. The island is formed from volcanic rock is located not far from the mainland of Aceh, only about 50 meters apart. Achieving it, visitors only need to cross the shallow strait. If you don't dare, wait for the sea to recede.
Sea water will recede as the sun begins to lean toward the Western horizon. Look around it. Coral reefs and seaweed will be seen, even appearing above the water surface. Clear waters also refresh the eyes. Try to look carefully into the water, various marine biota visible to the eye easily. No wonder if this area is often used as a research destination from one of the famous campuses in Aceh.
Panorama on the water is equally interesting. Visitors who come, will be ready to be lulled with views of the verdant mountains and wave barrier rocks. Rock lines along the Seureudong coastline will meet later with white sand, not far from the shallow strait.
On this island there are also reportedly three hidden caves. If you climb the top of Seureudong, one of the caves can be found. It's not too broad. But, at least this object can offer other interesting things. Up to the top, small waves can be seen in the waters. This is the forerunner of the wave that will crash into the beach.
Seureudong is a paradise for anglers. Almost every afternoon fishing sport lovers are always there in this area. Naturally, because when you are on this small island the eyes can freely see the blue water below. Even occasionally large turtles and fish can be seen with the naked eye.
It's a bit remote to get to this place. The intended direction of the trip is to the right of the PPI Sawang (Fish Landing Port), continue straight towards the West until it meets the hills. From here it will appear that Sereudong Island separates itself from the hills on the mainland. Keep going up, then meet with white sandy beaches.
Seureudong has a natural ecosystem, especially under the sea. This is what causes the prohibition of diving activities. In addition to the current which is a little strong, it is said that sharks still inhabit many of these waters. However, why not for those of you who like challenging sports.
Of course an interesting experience if you can visit and explore it. It can be ascertained that this is where visitors can find lively natural charm that is still silent on the edge of South Aceh.
