Garmoshka - what's this?

Harmony is a folk musical instrument, which in the minds of many is inextricably linked with Russian folklore. Harmon, like accordion or accordion, refers to hand harmonics, but has a number of significant differences.

It is not known for certain who and when the first hand harmonica was invented. According to the most common version, the instrument first appeared on the territory of Germany at the beginning of the XIX century. According to this version, authorship in the manufacture of the accordion belongs to Christian Busman. There is also the opinion that the first harmonica was invented and manufactured in Russia, namely in St. Petersburg at the end of the XVIII century. Supporters of the second version argue that the author of the accordion was a master from the Czech Republic Frantisek Kirshnik.
All models of the accordion, existing today, are conventionally divided into two types. The first is one of the most popular among the musicians model - "chrome", as well as "Russian wreath" and "livenka." Common to all the above models is that when stretching and compressing the bellows for all buttons of the instrument, the same pitch is retained. The Tula harmonica, Vyatka, "Talyanka" and "Cherepanka" belong to the second type. These harmonies differ in that, when performing musical compositions, it is the direction of the movement of the bellows that determines the height of the extracted sound.
