Pets for life, yes absolutely.
"Pets", I always felt they deserve much better name than just pets. I would call them companions for life.
We not only get all the affection and love from them but also we get to learn a lot from them.
Always been a pleasure having them around, and totally believe kids get along so well with our companions ;)
My sincere request to all, if you can't love them at least don't hurt or hate them. They deserve a lot more than what we actually think.
