The Diary Game: Simple Life in Our Place

I'm fine where I live now with my husband, but there are things I miss in my family's place. Our compound with relatives is surrounded by fishponds. It's a great place too for planting some vegetables.

I remember when I was young, we used to plant string beans because it favors places which are swamp. We harvest them, and sell them. If we have some left string beans, we cook them for our meals. Probably the reason why my knees are weak. 😂

We still have string beans being planted but we don't sell them anymore. We share it to our neighbors, or have it part of our meals. Why not? I rarely have them now that's why I miss string beans but I don't want my husband to eat a lot because gout is developing on his ankle.

There it was. It's not for harvest yet but it's a great subject for photography. Isn't it nice? It has its flowers too.

Early in the morning, enjoying the sunrise. It's good to have sunrise in the morning because it provides Vitamin D. Mid-morning sunshine isn't healthy anymore. You'll get skin cancer from it.

That's me with those string beans. I'm looking out something to harvest. It's good for "atchara" or pickled string beans. Others even call it adobong sitaw.

It's good to have simple life though how I wished life has been a bit easier before. That way, we're able to enjoy our childhood. Things are different now as I'm already an adult, and a married woman. I'm hoping that someday we will have our own land in a peaceful place. Something isn't too far from the convenience near the town or city proper, but having the perks on living in a rural area.
