I, Tonya - life is a thriller

There are some criteria I use to determine if the film I saw is a good movie.
One of them is during the following week, do i still think about it.

"I. Tonya", is definitely meeting this criterion.

The film is a record of one of the most exciting stories that happened in the United States in the 90's. I was not familiar with the story before, and this film manages to tell it in a fluent and interesting manner that is faithful to history and presents all the complexity inherent in this story and all the points of view that are related to it.

The story is the life of ice skater Tonya Harding, who grew up in a dysfunctional family and difficult life circumstances.
Her mother would beat her for periods and her father left the house. At an early age she married her husband who was a dubious felon and hit her as well. At some point in her career, her husband decided to help her advance by hitting her main rival. He sent an assassin who had wounded the ice skater which led to circumstances that shook the Americans and brought the ice-skating rink to the headlines.

Since then, the speculation about what happened there and about the extent of Tonya Harding's involvement in the accident has not stopped.

The two-hour film kept me alert and tense all along its length. It may also be related to the fact that I knew it was a true story but I had no idea how it would end because I did not know it.

What is unique in this case is that the film manages to tell a real story in such a way that tells the story from several different narratives rather than trying to be tendentious (unlike other films based on a true story) in my opinion.
