Unemployment Sucks!

Being unemployed sucks!

The liberal Australian government just chucked another stupid idea out into the air again - To cut off dole payments for people who have been receiving them for over 6 months. It was all over the news, but on a particular article one of the senators, Nick Xenophon, had proposed seasonal farm work if a person wanted to keep the dole. This all pisses me off because many of the farm jobs I see posted up on any job seeking website have required people with 1 or 2 years experience working on a farm previously. Are they suddenly going to forget pre-requirements just so they can fill the damn void? Keep bashing the poor, assholes! Perhaps people will come to their senses and kick these rich bogans off their high horses for even mentioning the idea and throw them into unemployment for a while to see how they like it.

People want to work!

There are just hardly any jobs available. Really, we could point the finger back and say that the 'first-class citizens' are responsible for the creation of jobs and thus, they've failed us. Either way, we're being left in the dark to create our own light for the time being. Part of that light for me, is steemit and the average steemian. You help me a lot, so thankyou.
I wonder if I could even score a job online through someone on steemit, wouldn't that be cool! :)
The last job I had was as a traffic controller. It involved standing in the sun for long periods of time, directing traffic whilst road work was being done. In order to get into that job I had to pay 700 dollars for a traffic control course and license. What did I learn out of the course? NOTHING!!!! It was all common sense!! But I got my license and I got the job. What really struck me though, is that I even had to pay 700 dollars, simply because a bunch of people made a bunch of policies that basically treat every person like the lowest common denominator - like we're all gonna screw up unless we pay 700 dollars to gain some paperwork that says we can do something. I honestly think I could've learnt the job and rules in 15 minutes, but instead it was a two week course, nine to five, three days a week. Paranoid people seem to be taking over. It's like ocd psychopaths are reaching the top and launching campaigns to keep a freedom-loving people in a straight line. I just can't trust the government anymore. We've been let down too many times. Voting is compulsory in Australia, so if you don't show up to vote for one of the puppets, you'll get fined. I show up now only so I don't get fined. That's how much trust I have left in our government. It's sad, because I realize this is happening all around the world and Australia seems to be faring quite well in comparison to many places. We're isolated in our own little corner of the world, cut off from a lot of the chaos. I don't mean any offense (incase you support it), but I look to American politics and see an absolute disaster at the moment. Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton!? How the hell did it come to that? I won't dive deep into something I don't really understand here but I just wanna say I have a bad feeling about that too. You Americans are role models and great influencers of Australian politics, entertainment, technology and marketing afterall. I hope we don't decide to take on the 'food stamp' idea. *sigh*
It's a hectic world.

It is not the 1st-class citizens that are causing this. It's bad economics perpetuated by government. If a government does not follow the free-market Austrian economic system, it will not be able to create jobs for that economy.

Jobs are actually created by regular people - middle to lower classes. And they can only be created if the barriers to starting a business (licenses, fees, taxes, loans) are cheap. That is the incentive behind creating a new business. Is it easy and cheap? If it is, then more people will create companies, grow, and hire new employees.

If, on the other hand, the government does things like make employees pay $700 for a common sense job, the economy will never survive.

Hey - I read the article and I share your frustration. If i generalise, this license fee is only a part of governement (budget) income. I am sure there are other things that people are frustrated about, like taxes, fines, unnecessary insurance fees etc. The thing is, even inspite of all these earnings, all governments in the world still continue increasing level of debt. Why? In order to stimulate low and middle class expenditures. So there are objective reasons behind it...

People do may want to work but the question is who will employ them? Who will be the goods they will produce? You mentioned the US here, but if you look at labour force participation there it has been falling for the last 5 years... And this is a global tendency, not just for a given country. In fact, I can't think of any country that is different.

Meanwhile, they're buying up robots as we speak. Who will have a job then?
That's what I mean about these "OCD" psychopaths. They're pushing people into doing things they're not passionate about. The future is a damn cesspit and our upper class is harnessing technology that ruin the average middle class citizens chances. We're becoming such a damn slave race, drawn straight into the venus fly trap with pictures of robots and unnecessary crap on our shopping lists and minds. Sad to see people destroy eachother like that. Haven't moved past the feudal age.
