Taxi Cab (An Original Poem)
You taught me how to sing when I was feeling blue
and I understood instantly to change my attitude
but I've been jaded and have been fading out of line,
hardly a shadow of my former self - that joker I left behind.
I'm working on myself, reinventing from the frame,
You're never too old to play another game.
The anxiety of freedom - it's blowing me away,
where change always comes but it never stays.
We only live once so I wanna look you in the eyes
to see if I'm not dreaming before we say goodbye.
I wanna dance with you and use this time I have
to put a smile on your face, jump in my taxi cab.
