Tokenization, ATP, NFTS, CDP & CDF

These words are easily defined in a sentence with context. So let’s begin a discussion about a company called Centrifuge and review these words and their meanings as we explain what that company does, as the context makes defining the words story like and logical.

Centrifuge is an ATP, an asset tokenization platform, whose specialty is helping customers convert real world assets into NFTS, nonfungible tokens, so the assets can enter the blockchain universe through. Then these assets can be used as collateral for lending and formation of CDPS, credit debt products, (called loans in the non-crypto world) by CDFS, credit debt facilities like the MakerDao or other “DeFi”, decentralized finance uses.

Tokenization is the process of converting rights of an asset into a token that can be subdivided, traded and stored on a blockchain system. Tokenization simply converts the value of an asset, tangible or intangible, into a token that can be manipulated on a blockchain. Once the asset has been tokenized or more precisely, the rights of ownership of that asset tokenized, the asset ownership rights can be bought or sold, when the Token representing those ownership rights is bought or sold. The advantages of this are many.

The asset can be both tokenized and fractionated. The term fractionation meaning the ownership rights can be divided into fractions and sold. This allows two things; first someone can own 1% of the asset to limit their risk, and second, the owner can sell 49% to raise money, while maintaining control over the asset with the remains 51% ownership.

The other advantage of Tokenization is that instead of selling the resultant tokens, you can use them as collateral for a loan. In the modern world we use cars and homes as collateral for loans. But not everyone can afford to pay the loan payments on a car or house, and many fail the banks loan requirements, so they are unable to buying assets using loans and profit from the assets increase in value over time, which is the nature of assets.

Cryptocurrency and decentralized finance change all that, and in the world of decentralized finance, those personal factors like income, length of employment and credit score don’t matter. If you possess tokens which are eligible for loans, or if you possess assets which can be tokenized, you can obtain loans called CDPS or Credit Debt Products, from CDFS, OR Credit Debt Facility. Now you can use these assets to acquire loans for other types of assets or more cryptocurrency. As you can imagine, there are rules and requirements to make this work. Fortunately there are companies to guide you through this process. The one I wish to tell you about today is Centrifudge, an ATP or Asset Tokenization Platform.

Centrifuge
Centrifuge is used by its customers for the tokenization, underwriting, and securitization of all kinds of documents (invoices, mortgages, other “contracts”, etc) to exchange their data in a provable, unalterable way, and finally provide financing.

Centrifuge is a two-layer solution:
The first layer is the Centrifuge peer-to-peer network for private, secure data exchange. The second layer is where the smart contracts deployed on Ethereum that represent business identities, document hashes and most importantly the “Business NFTs” to represent documents live, and in a form which makes them financeable via MakerDAO, Compound, or others.

Additionally, they recently launched a platform known as Tinlake, which allows the tokenization and pooling of those NFTs in an easy, standardized way. Tokenization is the process of converting rights of an asset into a token that can be subdivided, traded and stored on a blockchain system. Tokenization simply converts the value of an asset, tangible or intangible, into a token that can be manipulated on a blockchain. The cofounder and CTO of Centrifuge is Philip Stehlik, formerly CTO of Taulia, which is one of the largest providers of financial services for the Fortune 500 in the US, with the platform transacting many billions of dollars of transactions yearly per Mr. Stehlik.

Other Platforms for tokenization
These are in countries all over the world, so if they are in your country they should be complaint with your countries applicable laws. I have attached a list of over 25 companies for your review.

Summary

Those are the definitions of those terms in my words. As you can see there is a great interest in these decentralized finance constructs all over the world, as these companies working on the Tokenization of assets are created in country after country, with the goal of unlocking the Value of assets and making them liquid, turning them into fiat currency that you spend. Usually through the creation of various types of Ethereum tokens because assets are the backbone or basis for the banking system. The paradox is that banking isn’t about real estate, retail or manufacturing.. No banking is about money and making more of it. These businesses just have or control assets and assets are collateral for loans. But the it’s the loans which make money, the assets are just an part of the process. Tokenization revolutionizes the process of making assets liquid, turning them into spendable cash.

This post is very, very interesting; Reading it, I felt for the first time how the era of tokenization and digitization materialized, as well as what the future will be like and I can bet that companies, banks, central banks, hedging firms, investment funds and others are already struggling to delay this change and to be able to gain time to enter the game and not die trying.

I see this the next level of the economy, I had already commented in other posts, another world from which we must study more and prepare for changes that will be readical to our day to day.

Additionally, I see why analysts think of some alt's as more profitable alternatives than bitcoin itself, in the case of ETH or TRON. Both are visionaries of the future, not limiting themselves to a merely economic and exchange field; However, I see BTC as one of the main nodes of this new world, a coverage that is backed, occupying a new position as gold 2.0, examples we have as wBTC, an ERC-20 token backed by BTC, something extremely beautiful.

Again, enjoy reading this article and my congratulations.
