Pinoy Style Pancit Canton
Before enhanced community quarantine, I used to buy foods outside. Now, things had changed. I am now cooking my everyday food. Most of the food I am cooking during enhanced community quarantine are instant foods like noodles and sardines. But, I have a coming vegetables soon! 😀 'Coz a good friend of mine messaged me that she has a friend who is selling vegetables. She asked me if I will order 'coz veggies will be delivered on Sunday. Yay! I am so excited.
Anyways, before I get lost let's go back to the topic. 😀 I gonna share again another cooking style of noodles - my Pinoy style Pancit Canton. 😀
Been thinking of what I am going to do with my few raw materials left on the fridge. Because, I still have pancit canton noodles, few hotdogs, little pork meat and few spices left. I decided to cook my own version pinoy style pancit canton. I need to make out of the best of all the available ingredients I have. I am sorry, I wasn't able to take some pictures of the ingredients and the process I did. But, don't worry I gonna share the procedure on how I did it. It's my secret recipe. It won't be anymore secret 'coz I gonna share it here. 😀
So here it goes! 😀😀😀
The available ingredients I have:
· pancit canton noodles
· pork meat
· hotdog
· onion
· garlic
· pancit mixed veggies (I forgot to tell that my brother went to supermarket and I asked favor from him to buy it.)
· vinegar (A replacement for lime juice coz I don't have available calamansi.)
· soy sauce
· oyster sauce (for a more flavorful result)
· cooking oil
· magic sarap
Here we go for the procedures. 😀
- In a casserole, saute garlic and onions until golden brown. (If you have other spices like tomato and bell pepper or chili pepper you may add.)
- Put the pork meat and a spoon of vinegar. Let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Put the hotdog and 3 spoon of soy sauce. Add some magic sarap. Let it cook for another 3 minutes.
- Put some oyster sauce and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Put the pancit mixed veggies. Stir well and simmer for 1 minute.
- Once done, transfer in a clean pan and set aside.
- In same casserole, put a cup of water, 3 tablespoon of soy sauce, some magic sarap and let it boil.
- In a boiling water, put the pancit canton noodles. Let it cook for 3 to 5 minutes and until water dries up.
- Once water dries up, put some oyster sauce.
- Mix well the cooked pork, hotdog and veggies.
- Serve while hot. 😀
Note: If I have lime juice, I put lime juice instead of vinegar 'coz I love the sour taste of lime. I put lime juice while cooking pork and when the noodles get cooked.😀 And I do not put salt 'coz salty soy sauce is enough for me. 😀
So that's how I cooked my own version of Pinoy Style Pancit Canton. Hope you like it! 😀😀😀
