Assalamu Alaikum everyone. I wish everyone the best of luck in the fifth week of the Steem engagement challenge. Earlier in the week I will be participating in the Incredible India community. Today I will present various topics related to environment including three reasons behind environmental pollution as per the requirement of this competition.

What are the three significant reasons behind environmental pollution?

I believe that the environment and people are highly interrelated. So our various activities affect the environment. Our environment is at great risk due to the rate at which advanced urbanization and industrialization are taking place today. Due to which the environment is lost and the environment is polluted. Below I describe 3 notable causes of environmental pollution.

• Air Pollution : We all know that we must have clean air to survive. And if the air is polluted then the amount of oxygen in the air is reduced. If due to various natural or man-made solid waste materials increase in the air more than normal, then that air is considered as polluted air. Air pollution has various causes. Which are: toxic smoke from factory chimneys, smoke emitted from vehicles or fossil, iron or tire fuel, cigarette smoke, weeds in agriculture, use of pesticides are causing the pollution.

• Water Pollution : As immense as it is for human survival, polluted water is a threat to life. If contaminated waste material gets mixed with pure water, it becomes unusable for us and this process is called water pollution. The causes of water pollution are: abandoned water from factories, garbage of the city, cremation of cattle and animal excreta, oil thrown from ships, starting from the ocean, sea, river, pond water is being polluted. By doing this, as you have reduced the production of fish, you have also suffered from stomach diseases and skin diseases by drinking polluted water.

• Noise pollution : Sound is like a form of energy if this energy enters our ears through the auditory sensation we call sound. And when this noise goes beyond the human capacity and disrupts normal functioning, it is called noise pollution. The causes of noise pollution are: the sound of hydraulic horns of vehicles, the sound of loud music, the sound of sirens and military equipment etc. are the main causes of noise pollution. Due to which people are physically and mentally affected.

How can we prevent environmental pollution?

Humans are a part of the environment and environmental pollution is caused by some human activities. So to keep the environment pollution free we all have to take initiative together. So how to prevent environmental pollution is given below:

• Recycling of waste materials : Recycling plastic, glass, aluminum etc. instead of throwing it away or burning the waste will save the environment from pollution.

• Industrial waste treatment system : Water pollution can be prevented if the factory industrial wastes are treated in other ways instead of throwing them in the river or sea.

• Reducing the use of wood in stoves: If we use more wood in stoves, the smoke emitted from it pollutes the air and destroys forests, which has a special impact on the climate. So try to reduce the use of wood in the stove.

• Use of eco-friendly vehicles : We can use eco-friendly vehicles to prevent air pollution. For example, if the destination is near, we can use a bicycle instead of using a car.

• Noise Control and Public Awareness : To prevent noise pollution we can ban special places such as schools, colleges, hospitals etc. from honking of hydraulic vehicle horns on roads and create public awareness about its harmful effects of noise pollution.

Share your views on how environmental pollution affects all living creatures including humans

I think environmental pollution is having a negative effect on all living beings including humans. This disrupts the normal life of all living beings including humans. First of all, if we talk about air pollution, we will say that people and animals need clean air to live healthy. But both humans and animals are harmed by breathing polluted air.

Natural disasters like acid rain are caused due to environmental pollution. Which is very harmful for living beings. Also, pesticides used in agriculture are washed into the rivers by rain water and the contaminated water causes loss of life for humans and animals.

Have you ever taken part in keeping your environment clean?

Yes, definitely. I have an organization in my community to keep the neighborhood clean where I live. I'm a member there too. There are some dedicated people in this organization who are constantly working to keep the environment clean. And we who are members oversee it.

Not only clean, but we select some specific places in the area, plant trees and produce vegetables. The purpose of taking this initiative is that by planting vegetables, we are meeting the needs of the people of the area for fresh vegetables, and we are selling them outside by planting various trees. By doing this, we can keep the city clean while increasing people's awareness in the field of green urbanization.

Share a message that all people should remember;To keep environment healthy.

I think to keep the environment healthy we must prevent its pollution. And the attitude of loving the environment should be kept. Because it has been proven that due to the negligence of protecting the environment, so many big disasters are coming to our world today. From which, starting from natural resources, human and animal races have suffered huge losses.
