Catching the Sunrise at Alishan

I took this photo from the summit of Alishan Mountain, in central Taiwan. We rode in an express train up to the summit and got there at a quarter to 5 in the early chilly morning.

As we waited for the sunrise view, I noticed a tree which was lit by the nearby lights. I thought it created an interesting image with contrasting colours.

After about 30 minutes, the sun rose out of the thick clouds.
