📷 Extreme Fishing in Taiwan's Coast

Often on my photo walks to the coast of Taiwan, I will spot many fishermen perched on rocks, sometimes in quite dangerous spots. These are two brave men that I've captured on camera...
I don't even know how this guy got there, the waves were also really big that day, and the splashes would reach heights of the fisherman.
This guy sat on a lone rock near the shore waiting patiently for the perfect catch.
Looks scary. Hope the catch is worth it.

Great captures @shieha!!! I used to do a lot of fishing on the rock jetties in New Jersey, and I can tell you that the algae on the rocks is extremely slippery. So I don't know how that guy is managing. I learned from other fisherman that its best to wear a pair of rubberized golf slip-ons that have spikes on the bottom for traction.
And if that guy ever hooked into a really big fish I bet it could pull him into the drink ;-)

Thanks! I just don't understand what reward would be so great as to warrant the risk taken by these guys. And if they do catch a big one, like you said...
I've heard some of these guys even drill holes into the rocks and install rope ladders and such for some difficult to access sites.
