Foods and Dreams

in #food8 years ago (edited)

My cousin built a small eatery in front of their house. This is where she keep her whole day busy as a bee. She wakes up early to go to the market to by some fresh produce to use for cooking.

Then the cooking marathon takes place, she needs to finish by 10am so costumers for lunch can come and dine.

This are common mouth watering Filipino foods that are famous in every filipino household

We grew up eating those foods. It become our comfort food sometimes, especially we are away from philippines. These foods bringing us together closer to our roots and families. It has lots of memories and love for it.

In the Philippines, vegetables is best to eat with fried fish. Their taste compliments each other.

But my family's favourite food is Grilled milk fish or Inihaw na bangus in tagalog. Remembering this food way back when we were children, when we all eat together as a whole family, the rice pot is all squeaky clean after eating.

How lovely to reminisce it! It melts my heart and miss all of my siblings.

Sorry for a little drama :-)

Serving and cooking food at the comfort of your house is one of the ways to earn money while at home. It serves as an income too to sustain other family needs.

My cousin utilizes her time wisely. She doesn't only have eatery on her house, she also added a little supermarket (sari-sari store) on the side of it. And selling credits to phone users.

We can make a difference and contribute to the society if we really want to. The change starts within us. Let's empower ourselves to develop and be an inspiration to community.

Life is what we makes it. Let's utilize it for our own good and for the good of the society.

Thank you so much for reading. Steem on!
