The lakes of Xinjiang, with their different poses and different statuses, all with different meaning. Some are true mountain lakes with glistening crystal like water, winding in and out of the mountain ranges along side other tributaries. Other lakes are the classic type with a very large and open space of jade like water, reflecting images of the sky.
There are lakes which are exquisite and compact, functionally like rivers. They are beautiful when viewed from above. Trees growing either side, neatly arranged, as if they were manicured. Walking in Xinjiang provides this kind of scenery, it is perfect for artists and photographers who enjoy nature's beauty.
