This is a crazy increase in such a short amount of time! Traffic has been off the charts lately and continues to rise.
I was curious to look up how Steemit's traffic compares to other crypto websites. These are the 10 sites with the most similar audience to Steemit:
Steemit still lags behind a few crypto sites in traffic: cryptocompare.com, bitcoin.com, bitcointalk.org, and coindesk.com. But, it beats all of them in the categories of page views/user and average time on site:

This is awesome news and an impressive climb. I think we'll be seeing Steemit in the top 5,000 fairly soon. Wonder what the price of steem will be then?

I feel like it will be a freight train here for a little bit because suddenly all these new people finding out about it and jumping on board. The summers must be the time for Steemit. Remember last summer was a freaking party on here. Now we are going to have another party!
You're probably right. I missed the party last summer. After I joined, the Steem price fell like a stone and kept falling for months.
The price falls were brutal and what was worse is the way the voting was. You could make 12 posts and not even make $1 / post. Some of the same sort of thing exists now but the reward pool is a lot more leveled out. Hopefully we can build our followings up a lot and keep rolling.
Right now, it's really tough for the newcomers. I tested this out with one of my alt accounts, and really struggled to get votes. Getting followers is key for success here.
I'm not surprised at all by your findings. I feel like there are a couple people kind of looking out for me in some respects who accumulated some power. I never really got put on auto vote lists from some of the very large whales like some people did so I really never made bank. But I have always hoped that everyone would still remember me and see that I continued to post for the majority of the time and that someday that would pay off. It paid off big for some people on here already.
