Why most of us are after the money on Steemit??
Well, I came to find that many members of Steemit are posting for the sake of getting up-votes , eventually to make some money out of it.
I agree, it is a nice thing to see some rewards for your posts but that's not the purpose of Steem. To me it's all about sharing some useful information with the world, whether you get reward or not.
To all the bloggers and writers out there, steam it is like heaven. They can post all they want like they have been doing in their lives and earn some reward for it. It is one of the best way to achieve financial freedom while doing what you have always enjoyed doing.
Finally, I have an advice for you guys. Make posts as a personal blog and forget about the money. If you try to follow the money it will run away. But if you let it go, and focus on your own work and hobby, without worrying about any monetary gains, you will make a lot of money on Steemit.
Don't forget, Steemit has a potential to conquer all, the blogger, reddit, pininterest and tumblr. Use it wisely..! :-)

I could not agree more. If you look for just money you miss out on so much here at Steemit. It also can be discouraging for newbies when they do not make much on their post. Sure I like the money (Steem Power and Steem Dollars, but I have been focusing in on those people from all over the world and many different cultures. Great post!
Yes, exactly as you said, newbies get disappointed too soon when they don't see the $$'s coming..

Unfortunately money is a big addiction for almost every person.
I think the people that are just spamming in this community to get money are gonna get ignored and not earn more if they really bring value and content for the community, so is their lost ;)

Indeed its a major driving force behind everything, but the thing is we miss out a lot in pursuit of money.
