Is This Possible Steemians?

You know what would be really cool?

If we could save posts by our fellow Steemian authors who posted something of value that we would like to look back on, something that we really enjoyed that we could look back on, without having to scroll through many of our own comments for ages, looking for the comment that you left on an authors post. And if you didn’t leave a comment and just gave an upvote then it will be a lot more difficult to find.

Sure I could look onto something like Steemstats.com and scroll through for a while as well looking for the post that I upvoted or commented on, but that just seems like a nightmare to me.

Maybe there is something already, if so please tell me?

If Steemit had an option that you could click on, like the bookmark star for an internet browser or something, and it would save to your favourites, where you could always look back at and locate a particular post with ease, instead of painstakingly scrolling through dozens, or maybe hundreds of comments to find the post again.

It could be a new section added onto your account menu so that when you see your blogs, comments, replies and rewards, you could also see saved material which you can always look back on.

There have been some really good posts which I wanted to look back on and it’s taking me ages to look for it because I can’t remember the title of the post or even who posted it, especially now that my following list has increased.

I can only imagine when Steemit has millions of users that it will be increasingly difficult to find posts that you enjoyed from a couple of months back, but if you had the option of saving the URL then it would be so much easier. Maybe even an option to rename the post for your own personal records.

So instead of searching for ages for a post, I can spend more time upvoting and commenting on other people’s posts, and it gives me a better chance to see other excellent posts from my fellow Steemians!

Just a thought, I now have a feeling that someone will shoot this post down because there is an option somewhere!

So, what do you think Steemians?

How could we get something like this implemented into the platform?

If you enjoyed this post, you know what to do….Upvote, comment, resteem & follow me @SHEESHKABABAGE

Yesterday I was thinking it would be useful for smaller content creators if there was some way to recommend related content, because the constant vertical stream of posts is ridiculously fast. Sort of like how youtube suggests related videos.

Last night I was overwhelmed with the volume of posts and decided to go visit some of my preferred SteemIt friends. It was way better than the 'noise' of the feed.

I have definitely run into the problems you've had with favourites as well!

That's an excellent idea because you are absolutely correct with the speed of posts just getting pushed down the list within a minute or so especially with the more popular tags.
I'm sure in time these issues will be ironed out but I just wonder who would take control of these things?

Thanks for understanding @sheeshkababage (hard to spell that!) I have another youtube channel and it's done relatively well because I make relevant, searched for content and youtube is really, really good at suggesting content. Otherwise, it would be completely buried.

Kind of a sad situation, but hopefully minnows will band together and visit each other's blog pages while the site improves with time. If someone makes ONE good post, then potentially they have MANY good posts! :)

I try to visit at least 3 - 4 followers pages a day if I can. For lack of a better word, nurture friendships and help each other out.

Yeah my name confuses me sometimes too haha!

All Steemit can do is look at these other platforms and implement the tools that they have, implement the good tools and improve on the not so good tools.

That's exactly what I think with regards to seeing a good post, I always have a look at the profile and see if there are other posts that interest me and I usually give them a follow.

I've just been saving valued posts to my favorites, but yeah a favorites within our profiles would be nice. #Steemit!

Yeah I could do that too but I think it would be cool for people to see posts that I have saved as well, so that they can look back on if I said to someone it's number #34 on my saved posts list or something.

Congratulations! This post has been upvoted from the communal account, @minnowsupport, by Sheeshkababage from the Minnow Support Project. I was wondering the same thing yesterday, and actually started a browser folder to bookmark the posts I know I will want to find and read again, or follow up on.

In time I think things will change and it will all improve this platform.
It is still in it's beta stage just now anyway.

Yes, and so far it is pretty awesome :) With the Steem and currency transfers this seems like a far more complex site than most, yet it runs quite smoothly.

Yeah I've been here just over a month or so and I'm really enjoying it too.
It definitely is more complex and it will take a while but all of a sudden all the pieces just fell into place.
It will be a lot more difficult for folk who haven't really got a background with cryptocurrencies but that's the good thing about this community, we all help each other and there is tons to read up on about the workings of everything.
