Aside from being an amazing digital music composer generally, POGO is known for remixing old Disney movies into chill house tracks. Check this video where he has remixed Alice in Wonderland:

I'm a fan of Lewis Carroll generally -- the man was a genius par excellence, and Alice in Wonderland is a masterwork of symbolism and depth. But the main thing that came to mind while watching this video and listening to POGOs Disney tracks overall, is the whispery, gentile quality of feminine characters in this era.

This is something that I think we've lost in American culture. There used to be a quality of femininity that we can see in old television and media and hear in the voices of our grandmothers. It was a soft, soothing quality, intentionally soft and almost hypnotic. This is something I miss, and as the roll of gender in our society today is thrown into jeopardy, I worry that this quality will become a relic of our past.
