If I had not seen footage of that robot with my own eyes I would have said it was scifi. Jesus if Google had that what does the military have?
I mean Trump talked about giving money to the military and soldiers being shot and so on, with robots like this as soldiers then there is no need for any solider to be shot.
I agree that physical work will be eradicated.
The Scandinavian countries are looking at a civilian wage to combat the future job losses.

Warfare will go robotic, for sure. I mean, the drone stuff is enough already, now with these things and the mule robots, you could get done with a small group of robots what it would've taken dozens of men to do before, and no loss of life (on our side anyway).

Robotics will eliminate manual labor and most if not all service jobs. I predict this will happen faster than many expect. People will be FORCED into entrepreneurship or the arms of the State, and hopefully entitlements will be cut down and it will be very easy to start a business or sell a product.

The basic wage thing baffles me. Where do folks suppose that money is coming from? If your jobs get taken over by robots and everyone is supposed to be granted a basic income, who is paying for it? The rich? Why would they stay in Scandinavia if they become the sole source of money for the rest of society? Or would the government just borrow itself into oblivion? I think everyone here on steemit gets that it's an unsustainable solution at best.

Its a myth that the government would need to borrow the money to pay for a basic income. The opposite is true. The Government would actually save billions. Think about it. All the social care outlay gone. All medical care outlay gone. Any foreign immigrants coming into the county would also get no money from welfare because they would not be classed as a citizen. This alone would save the Govt billions in revenue as well as stopping immigrants from coming into the country for a free ride. This is a win win situation for the Govt. Finland are already doing, Austria and Australia is trying it in certain areas as a test. This is coming I am certain because it is also a great way to control the population.
You go out and protest about something and so they just stop tour money.

I don't see how it would eliminate social and medical care outlay. Can you give me some info on that? And I'm sure that with the way thing are in the US, people would still want to extend these new entitlements to non-citizens: it's just what people do here. Also, the concept of government dependency is anathema to the spirit of the United States. As seductive as the idea of having all your basic needs (supposedly) met is -- and it is seductive -- the payoff (enslavement) isn't worth it in my opinion. I prefer the system I outlined above in the video, where the action of daily life pays out in crypto. It's a whole new and innovative economy where you're not enslaved to anyone.

I agree with much of what you say.
I emigrated to Scandinavia from the the UK and here it is very socialist bordering of communism sometimes and as such everyone must be treated equally.
This is why the wages differences are closer here in Norway.
For example a road sweeper, or someone working on the cash register in a supermarket may earn about $40,000 per year. A doctor earns about $80,000 to $100,000. The doctor is not allowed to earn higher. Although it is double, it is still a good wage for a lower job skill. This is why everyone in Norway is quite wealthy. Health care is totally free. 2 years ago I became ill from a virus and flown to hospital by helicopter. I was in hospital for about two weeks and the treatment was top class. It was even sent home by taxi which was 2 hours drive away. All free.
Most people here have two houses, two cars, a boat and an apartment in another country that they use for a vacation. People only work until 3pm too and have 7 week paid leave every year. The state pension is also a fortune.
There is virtually no crime. In my own town the police station is only open two days a week because there is nothing for them to do. When everyone is financially secure, why commit crime?
It is a very good life here in Norway but the price of this is that people do not have the drive to succeed.
I have tasted both ways of living. The UK is very similar to the US.
I am someone who has drive to succeed but at the same time I have become more relaxed because I dont have the worry of money at all.
I honestly dont know which way is best my friend. You tell me.

I don't get why the doctor wouldn't be allowed to earn more. To me that sounds like disincentivization.

Huh... I'd always heard that Norway was very expensive. I knew someone for a long time who lived in Sweden in the early 2000s and said everything was expensive and the young Swedes were very lazy because they had an inherent sense of entitlement that was always met, meaning nobody cared much to work hard at a job because they could afford to lose it and keeping it wouldn't really pay off that much anyway.

Honestly... you saying that you don't have to worry about money is very, very seductive. I worry about money constantly. I don't make a lot (early stage entrepreneur living on a very tight budget until some products hit the market) and I am extremely stressed and anxious about money and would very much like some relief. In a way this is a big motivating factor. But also, because the US government system has become a mutant of free market and socialism, I am expected to earn for myself and my family, however I am constantly hassled and taxed for every single thing and am not eligible for any entitlements because I am a white male. In a way it is like the worst of both systems lol.

Guys, I'm just going to say it here: that robot scares the hell out of me.

Not even kidding.

I get why they're doing it, but also I don't get why they're doing it!

Robots scare me too because they are being programmed by a bunch of globalist that want everyone to merge with machines or die.

Lol that robot's close to a cyborg-ninja. And I think there's a definite need for cryptocurrency profilers / converters someday as everyone will be running on a multitude of different kinds of coins. Not easy to imagine at all.

I wrote something about the future of work:
https://steemit.com/futurology/@kevinwong/the-future-of-work-an-abstract
https://steemit.com/futurology/@kevinwong/the-future-of-work-on-creation-curation-and-consumption

For sure. I see the need for a seamless crypto exchange that will allow people to never even know what they're holding. All their cryptos would be converted and stored into the account(s) of their choice.

It's an exciting time to be sure.
