Color Challenge - Monday Red - German World War I Figure
Hi Steemit friends,
For my entry into today's colorchallenge, I am sharing a photo that I took a few night ago while having a look at another one of the decorative figures that we have in our house. This one in particular is a red plane - it appears to be a World War I-esque model as far as I can tell, but I'm certainly no aviation expert!
After doing a little bit of searching on the web, I've figured out that the black symbol on top of both of the wings is called the Deutsche Luftstreitkräfte - also known as the German Air Force between 1914-1918.
I guess I was pretty close in my initial guess after all... I certainly had no idea about the specific affiliations with which this particular plan belonged, but I got lucky with the time period!
