When I talk about blockchain and cryptocurrencies, the one thing I’ve noticed is that it tends to be that 50+ year old crowd that really mocks it and says it’s all a scam. Those people grew up in a completely different world and don’t really seem to get just how much the world is changing. “The cool kids” growing up. It’s that kind of a crowd.
Some of them may adapt, but I think most of them won’t, especially the older fellows.

My personal favourite had to be about a year ago when I was in a shop and I brought up Bitcoin when it was at all time highs. There was a guy there who works as a mailman for Canada Post who mocked me and called cryptocurrencies a scam. I just kept thinking about how he hasn’t a clue that automation is going to take his job away by the end of the next decade.

Stupid is as stupid does.
