I can just imagine a group of rockhoundian boulder loving steemians setting off on an adventure to visit the boulders shared on here. Sounds like an expensive trip -- Let's hope for a $1000 steem :P
Nice big boulders there! I would not have guessed the tide would cover them up so much!
The hard part would be picking the first boulder place to meet! lol
Would have to calculate where all the rockhoundians are and
what would be a center rock zone somewhere. Cost is always a
factor, tho we could pay in rocks kinda like the flintstones, but
I think they used clams haha
The Cook inlet tide has a wide swing from highs to lows. Up by
Anchorage they get a bore tide ppl try to surf a couple times
a year.
Thank you @bitfiend your boulders are awesome, can't wait
to see them in spring! :-)
Hello @rebeccabe! :-)
It sure is, there is many other boulders
along the inlet, but nothing comes even
close to the Sisters, every angle is so
different.
Thank you so much @tattoodjay! :-)
There was a lot of folks out there that
day, had to kinda wait my turn lol
First time I'd seen anyone park between
them, let along a action shot of someone
jumping off that lower one haha
Good afternoon @janton! :-)
They sure are big lol
Yep totally covered in storms. The Cook inlet
gets very high and low tidal swings then with
huge storms and say its a full moon, the waves
will crash all the way to the bluffs. Wasn't there
when it did but seen the aftermath of erosion
and loads of driftwood and other flotsam!
It is rather wild at times, ever see someone with a whole
dead tree long tied to the back of a pickup truck flying
down a snow and ice covered gravel twisty road? haha
There was a ship wreck I seen on google earth map
somewhere up here, maybe over by Kodiak. There is
shipping lanes the bigger guys have to stay in away
from the rocks, I mean boulders :-)
ha! howdy shasta! wow that scene of a pickup dragging a whole trees sounds pretty dangerous especially if you have traffic coming the other way! Why is that your specialty to get firewood?
lol I seen that one day while looking out the window
years ago. Yep that was their way of getting firewood
haha, slides real good on ice! One them things you
see and wish ya had the camera in hand haha

Yeah it would be hard to pick a spot. Much less find an airline that accepts agates as payment.
That would be so cool...good idea
Amazing view of the Sisters. U&R

Thank you so much @redheadpei for showing your
wonderful boulders! I wonder if there could be any
fossils in these ones?
Rolling boulders gather no moss, or do they hehe
Have a great boulder day :-)
Thanks Shasta. It would be interesting if there were fossils in them. Have a great boulder day too! ♥️
Thank you very much @phototalent! :-)
This is an Amazing place omg

Sure would like to see them right now with
all the snow and ice, but would need a nice
warm helicopter lol
If you find a helicopter, stop by and pick me up!
