Watch where you walk!
Sometimes just getting to a place
to walk can be a challenge.
Major road construction in
every direction. New huge
culvert pipe put in the creek.
Not many ways to go on
the peninsula. The only way
out has been closed on and
off due to a big fire.
As far as we know there
are three fires burning.
Smoke everywhere.
Down by Moose river in
Sterling Alaska is another
form of popular transportation
in this state.
If your other vehicle isn't
a plane it's a boat.
Or all of the above.
One of the smokey photos.
Today it was so smokey you
couldn't see mount Redoubt.
I will miss you all on fork day!

No going out today, smoke was thick as fog
here, winds shifted. Posted some info on the
fires on the last posting, fire on the mountain.
that makes sense breathing in that smoke is not healthy I hope they get the fires under control soon, I saw you post and the links thanks for sharing
I was going to comment on what a clever theme this was for a Wednesday walk, and then you mentioned the fires. Stay safe and avoid breathing the smoke. I'm hoping things clear up quickly, both the fires and the construction. Take care!

the smoke was. Least it's thinned a little this evening.

Oh the construction is just been nuts lol
Watch out for the smoke. You should wear an N90 mask if you go out into it.
