This top one reminds me of a piece of calcite and
the other looks like little petrified barnacles.

Oh! The second one is petrified barnacles! So, it’s very old as it’s inside a rock and became one with it! Just googled live barnacles, these animals are very odd!

I don’t understand why a stone given by a friend is ‘better’ than a stone I bought in a shop!? Is it because it has more energy?!
