That is certainly tough in the current environment. I am not so unrealistic as to believe everyone has the support systems, financial security, and ability to home school their children, but I believe if parents must send their children to public school, at least try to be picky about where they send them. Some public schools may be better than others.
However, it would be even better if those parents could find a cheaper private school. Some private schools are lot better in terms of the curriculum, but I understand this may still not be an option. But it is certainly something they should strive for.
The best overall option is just continue fighting for abolition of the current system as it stands so we can create more options for parents who don't have any at the moment. And this is precisely what I hope to continue doing.
