Exporting raw materials can also make a country a developed country
Countries like New Zealand and Australia mainly export agricultural products and minerals, and they are developed countries. However, many African countries are poor countries because they export raw materials. This has nothing to do with the economic structure, but with the culture and values of the people. Good culture and values can produce good governments, and thus formulate good economic development policies. On the contrary, even if there is a democratic election system, bad governments will be produced, and the country's economic development will not be able to develop.
