Old good days ( never ending session): school experiences || by @shance-light

Hello steemians, hope we are doing just fine, its @shance-light on it again, bringing to you another exciting experience of the old good days.

From the last episode, i wrote about my experiences from primary 1 to 4. In which i narrated how i changed my school due to 1 teacher. Today i am going to continue with these experience.

Leaving my previous school, i was enrolled in another government school, but this one was cool, very good like other normal schools.
My primary 5 was very interesting as i made friends that are still around me as friends till date, it was fun.
The main childhood experience of this class was peakmilk. My friend could bring a quantity of powdered peak milk and i was the person to share. As children we didn't even bother how he was getting this milk, all we were interested in was to have it.
Nowadays, when things like these are done, its mostly for initiations but none of such happened.
Presently when i asked of where the milk was coming, he laughed and disclosed that, his mother encouraged him to take milk every morning but instead of drinking, he was always bringing more than the quantity to school.

My primary 6 was remarkable because of the activities such as *morning classes (mental) and evening classes).
These sessions were something else. Within this period i was only greeting but *good good morning or good evening. This was because by 6;30 am I'm in school and closing by 5:30pm.
In those days it was as if primary 6 teachers were carefully selected and went for military training before they became teachers.
My teacher was very tall and could beat the whole class without getting tired, infact he was swift in this aspect.
He remains one of my favorite teachers because he wasn't known just for his beating but implanted morals in us. He was equally loved by others. I really do wish i could see him.

Mental experience
This was an exercise that was practiced every morning. It was normally 30 maths questions, at times it could be multiple choice or not. But the issue is it was to be answered within 30mins.
Our brains were acclimatize to function without calculators because it was like a waste of time instead. We were required to know formulas by heart.

• Going 1 min late attracts beating
• failing 1 mental attraction beating.
  On a good day, he will say from 25 and above, no punishment, from 20-24, 1 stroke and below 5 stroke.
  But on a bad day, what so ever amount you scored, deduct it from 30 to have your number of strokes.

Its true this method was scary but we were forced to learn.
This generation is blessed with all types of electronic and learning aids but the quality of knowledge has dropped compared to these old good days.
