Dtube is NOT YouTube
I've seen a lot of people trying to emulate what worked over on YouTube here, and I think it's a mistake.
Dtube and Dlive are NOT YouTube. We can make this platform something new, great and go in a completely different direction. We are decentralised and therefore we can largely do what we want.
Why not really narrow the focus down on the community and elevate your friends rather than upvoting con artists and other trouble makers.
My focus will be on producing the best, most informative, and clean content that I can. Stay tuned to this channel as I have a lot more to say.

Been consuming Youtube since late 2005 and my god is it an absolute cesspool right now

There's a cesspool forming here too, but I am hoping to help cultivate the alternative.
We don't need the dregs here. The benefit of Steemit is that the money generated is community / vote based rather than straight advertising dollars. This means that I can cater the material to what the community accepts rather than doing crazy stuff just for the attention.
