What I Think About Life

Recently I ran into a man who came from Bulgaria to visit my country, Bangladesh, and some other countries on bicycles which was his all-day companion. When I asked him what he did for a living and for affording these visits, to my wonder he said that all he did was traveling. That was what he felt like to do, and he wanted to enjoy his life in his own way. Today I am gonna talk about this view- enjoying life after one's own choice.

We have got doctors, engineers, corporate officers and so like successful professionals around us. They, as we see, may live at the peak of society, maybe the men of great importance may have lots of people seeking their attention. They may have money, may have power, may have respect. But do they all live? These words may sound nonsense. What does it mean by having a life?

Well, I am not a great Philosopher or literature, but to me "having life" simply means living life in a way that one's heart says. And trust me, you will hardly find a man who does so. We grow up in a society that wants us to be successful men. What does our society mean by successful? It is to make money and to amass power. To society, if one side of the coin is a success then another side is money, power, and fame.

It makes one doctor out of someone who might want to be an actor in his life. Even this actor turned doctor is self-motivated to this change. It is because they haven't learned to follow the soul but the stream. It is not their fault of course but obviously the fault of the system that the society is made. So, we are becoming so-called successful men working from dawn to dusk, executing responsibilities, fulfilling the demand of society, and feeding the family. But at the end of the day, can we say that we have really achieved what we wanted from the core of our hearts?

If you ask why it is necessary or if it is really necessary to lead the life following the soul, I will answer you quoting from a song, "It's my life, it's now or never I ain't gonna live forever". You can think these words to be too romantic to pay heed to, or too unrealistic to this materialistic world.

Yes, your heart doesn't get you a BMW or a Mercedes, doesn't get up a 27-storied house like the one Mukesh Ambani has, doesn't get you the power to make the world run on the point of your finger. All is true. I have got my stand. I firmly believe that the joy of following the soul outweighs any so-called "success".

Hopefully. I am not talking about Utopia but obviously about the world we are living in. Someday, I hope, I will be able to say that all I do for a living is living, just living.

Thanks for reading. I just tried to express what I am thinking about life. Hope that you enjoyed reading it. Let me know in the comment section what you think about life.💖💖
