My Life Story

Hey my beautiful followers and friends, it's 4am here in the U.K. And I seriously can't sleep so I thought I'd entertain you with some of my life story lol!

I wanted to tell you guys a little bit about my life story and who I really am so we can become familiar with each other. If you've read my introduction post you will know a few details about me like I am a 25 y/o Asian male from the U.K.

Story Time

I was a happy young boy who was given everything a child needed in order to grow up as a healthy, intelligent, honest man. I lived with my grandparentsq whilst caring for them alongside my single mother. My father wasn't around he was married again with 4 daughters.

My mum tried her best to raise a good young man as did my grandparents! They did the best that they could but unfortunately I lived in a really ghetto town in the U.K called Alum Rock, and the crowd I would hang around with eventually got the better of me.

Up until the age of 18 I was a sensible, outgoing, happy lad but then one day I suddenly changed.

• I started rebelling against my own mother
• My grandmother passed away and this made situations worse
• I was kicked out of college for fighting and antisocial behaviour
• I started smoking drugs
• I was involved in horrific criminal activity
  
  my life turned upside down pretty quickly although I didn't know it at the time. I believed that life was meaningless and I should do whatever I please, I walked around arragontly as if the world was supposed to revolve around me.

One day at the age of 19 I got involved in a huge gang fight at McDonald's in Birminghams City Centre. I was arrested and taken to court alongside a friend of mine. He received a 4 month prison sentence whereas I received a 12 month prison sentence.

In all honesty prison was way too easy, I knew a lot of people in their and it just wasn't a punishment. It was just 6 months of my life being wasted that was about it tbh.

I came out of prison in September 2012, but I was way worse now that I had experienced prison. I had no fear of going back to prison & it drove me to become even more of a criminal and do worse things!

I was getting into trouble with police daily, getting into fights every other day, selling drugs, drinking alcohol, hanging around with guys 10 years older then me, making heaps of money. This lifestyle was disgusting but it was what I always wanted, I soon came to realise that this lifestyle wasn't all that people made it out to be and I started to become depressed.

Towards the end of 2013 one year after my prison release, I had gotten into a major fight with some older lads in which I had broken his nose and given him two black eyes, plus he had lost hearing from one of his ears. I had no idea who this person was, we just saw each other and got into a heated confrontation.

The next day all sorts of guys were coming up to me telling me they wanted to kill me because of what I had done to their uncle. I was getting threats from everywhere and suddenly so many people wanted to take my life.

Luckily I had friends who were ready to die for me and I had a family full of grave men who were also ready to fight with me. This nearly turned into an all out war between two opposing gangs in alum rock which could have left many of us dead or injured.

This bad situation was soon solved when the elders from both of our families got together and came to a sensible resolution or agreement. But deep down these guys still wanted to kill me and I heard rumours they were coming for me on a certain night.

So that night around 4am I was sitting in my blue Audi A3 paranoid and angry at the situation I was in, I was on the verge of ringing my friend for his gun and then preparing to take these people's lives, but then all of a sudden a thought crossed my mind "what will i get out of it'

This one thought created a revolution in my life!!!

That one thought led to another 'forgive him and forget everything, leave your life behind and change your ways' 'what have you achieved In your life? , Ask God for forgiveness and turn a new leaf in your life it's never too late to change' I failed to understand where these thoughts were Coming from because they were unlike me.

That night I cried for hours, repenting to God asking for forgiveness and mercy and promised I would change my life around with his help.

From that day onwards, I stopped doing the drugs, stopped drinking alcohol, I stopped hanging around with the gangsters, no more crime, no more hurting people, no more fights, no more life of crime!

I promised myself I would become a better person and live my life according to how God wanted me to live, as a good Muslim!

The entire community including my friends and family were shocked at this sudden change and they just couldn't believe it! Everyone kept asking me what had happened to me, how did I change and I felt good telling people my story.

3-4 days into my life's revolution I meet a man named 'shaykh Saqib Shami' a scholarly intelligent Muslim man who helped me change my life around completely and refrain from going back to my old ways.

He thought me excellent life principles and gave me support every step of the way for the past 3 & a half years. He has kept me motivated and on track. He turned me into a charitable man who would never harm a fly never mind a human, he transformed my mindset from that of a criminal into that of a good Muslim human being!

Everything had changed about me, I began treating my mother better, I would help. Out charity organisations daily, I wanted to create a change in my community, I wanted to help. Young people change their lives and I wanted to become a role model for the future generations!
