Voting, a right which is had by Americans, yet one that so few actually take advantage of. It's paramount we vote so we can be heard. Simply consigning yourself to the buffoonish notion that "my vote won't count" is already admitting defeat before you even began. I pray that we break the usual voter turnout average.

I am conflicted on voting in the U.S because the system is so corrupt and dysfunctional. That being said because of the current issues I have tried to register for voting for 5 months in a row in my new town they kept making issues which means that they pretty much blocked me from voting ... I am hoping that by 2020 this will have resolved itself ...in my old town there was no problem ... but then it was a different administration
Hopefully the issues get resolved. I have voted in every election since I attained voting age in 1979, the year in which I graduated High School. Just keep on trying, it is worth the fight!
voting only changes if we get an semi benevolent corporate shill or a horrible one. Real change does not come through mainstream politics in the U.S This won't change until money is taken out of politics and corporate lobbying is banned . We also need to get rid of the two party system it is corrupt and dysfunctional ..
I have only voted once in this country for Obama because I believed his lies. The thing is I do not believe in choosing the lesser evil in most cases as it is still evil but in the case of Trump the survival of humanity is at stake so I wil vote as soon as I get this mess fixed .

This is the definition according to the Dictionary. I love my Country and that is why I am critical of it. The same folks that said we should respect the current President are the same that said we should have hanged the last one for treason.
It is all relative. Patriotism is not the espousing of an administration, but the love for one's Country and its people. I respect differences of opinion on the direction of our Nation and its policies, both domestic and foreign. The respect of our Nation should be based on how we can work together. It would be good if we could work together for the good of the Nation and the World. If that is based upon one's sense of race or culture we, as a Republic, are doomed to failure.
Whether one believes in evolution or creation there is one fact. There is one race, that is the human race. We are all cousins. The superiority of one group over another is ridiculous. Now that may be argued over by those that believe in the whole Reptilian Alien ideology.

What we are doing now. Disagreeing yet respecting each other, this will be the salvation of our Nation. I am known to be opinionated and a bit of a bully at times, yet my coming to that realization and trying to change my behavior, that is my preference.
There's no disagreeing with the facts. You might not like them but they are what they are. Personally I'm seven sigma's south on the social scale. I rate pretty high on "for the love of BOB just leave me alone!" I'd have to work pretty hard to move up to Tribalism, much less tribalism or globalism. I was a long haul trucker for decades. Alone, and by myself . I liked it just fine.
I'm pretty far from the mean. Your milage may vary.

My neighbor and I just returned from the Fire Station where we voted for our Representatives. I feel very happy and fulfilled having performed my Patriotic Duty.
