On an auspicious day, at noon Anjana gives birth to a boy, who is glowing brightly. The boy is adorned in lovely silken clothing. He has two glittering earrings and a sacred thread is seen on his body. In great elation, the celestials rain flowers upon him. Another story pertaining to the birth of Vāli – Sugrīva.
