I really like the framing in the picture. Especially the black border on the right shows a clear distinction between the titular ecstasy and a more introspective and maybe mor realistic outlook on reality.
You chose to photograph yourself with the ecstatic background instead of standing jn the area of the unlit black bar. There has to be a meaning behind that! ;)
I think a big part of the ecstatic and mystical experience involves overcoming the fear of the abyss... crossing that threshold from the known into the unknown. I like the blank area. That's why I didn't crop it out or use a shot that was more centered. But my position in the lit area is simply because its lit- if I was standing in the dark area you wouldn't see me!
