What is the smallest airport you have ever been in? Mine is Treasure Cay, Bahamas

in #travel7 years ago

After the passport fiasco on the way down to the Bahamas, I flew into Marsh Harbour.

Marsh Harbour was a small airport, but had a duty-free shop, a restaurant, and a few other shops.

Pulling up to Treasure Cay, I knew to expect a smaller airport than the Marsh Harbour, but I didn't expect this.

Yes that is the entirety of the airport.

With one runaway and only two departing and arriving commercial flights it all they needed.

On the inside, there is only one ticket counter for the airline as the other two airlines don't normally have flights.

This panoramic view shows the entire inside of the airport

There were a total of 28 seats in the airport.

28 seats in the airport.

There were more seats on the airplane than in the entire airport.

None of us ventured to try the snack bar other than to get a cold water.

What is the smallest airport you have ever been in?

Sort:

Canton Ohio airport was pretty small, but this one takes the cake.

Marshalltown Airport:

Man that is a mini airport right there!!

Kerry airport in Ireland, wouldn't be much bigger!

I just checked that one out! That is a tiny one!!

landing in Montrose Colorado to go to Telluride was not only the smallest but the craziest as it's a really small strip on the side of a mountain. literally. here's a pic
