Power of courage

In the 1992 Euro cup, Denmark were the under dogs. They should not have been in the competition in the first place but because Yugoslavia was disqualified because of break up and warfare in the nation. So UEFA chose the best qualifiers who happened to be Denmark.

During the tournament, other teams played with pressure but Denmark (the weakest team) played with courage and had no sense of risk. To them if they lose, well they weren't supposed to come to the tournament in the first place. So what Denmark did was to just have fun along. They didn't fear mighty teams like Germany, France and almighty Netherlands who they defeated through a penalty shoot in the finals after a 2:2 draw.

Sometimes the best way to show courage is to live life with the mindset of not having to lose anything. Another way is to act as if the things we fear aren't there.

Soldiers who accomplish great military feats are those who aren't afraid of death. Winston Churchill (the prime minister of Great Britain during the 2nd world War, who helped them do many battles to push Nazi away from their land), escaped death situations many times because he never believed he could die before his time.

A US bomb specialist who deactivated more than 850 bombs both in Afghanistan and other regions was asked why he could do that and he said each time he wears the bomb suit and goes towards a bomb he was ready to die and that he is never afraid of death.

Most times people go on in life, being afraid and concentrating on their weaknesses. And they get to achieve few things.

Courage is the ability to face fear and overcome it. If Marco Polo was afraid of the Red Indians, he could've gone back and not discover the new routes that opened North America. But he used the power of communication and commerce to break their rigidity.

Be a person of courage. Be proactive. Make mistakes but learn from them. Opportunities comes to those who aren't afraid of failing. Denmark didn't qualify for the Euro 1992 cup but they were the best team and they proved it and won the tournament.

Sometimes we need to list our fears and see that they don't deserve our attention. Act as if they don't exist because in reality they don't.
Truth is the reality behind appearance. When fear sees the terminal disease or failure through lies, truth sees a healthy person and a success through faith.
