Eighth Grade - Review (ENG - ITA)

In these strange days of forced quarantine everyone happens to rummage through the pages of the web looking for some interesting title, some unknown movie to see.
So it's easy to find films that are unknown but that are highlighted by different authors, by different lists.
Particular advices that arouse curiosity and encourage us to watch a particular film.
This is the case of Eighth Grade, last year's film, little known but generally appreciated.
The classic film to recover in short.
And here comes my passionate appeal to you:
Don't recover it.
It's not a bad film, but it's certainly not a good film.
It's not a film that emerges by technique, by direction, by experimentation.
It's very boring.
It doesn't deal with an interesting theme per se. It follows the end of puberty of a very shy and misfit 13-year-old girl.
He hasn't got a good rhythm, he's slow and compacted.
He's not one of a kind.
It also represents the classic film capable of exalting the dualism of the TV cinema series.
There are at least 4-5 recent TV series on the theme that are much more beautiful and well made.
A film not to be seen in short.

In questi strani giorni di quarantena forzata capita a tutti di rovistare tra le pagine del web a caccia di qualche titolo interessante, di qualche film non conosciuto da vedere.
E' facile dunque trovare pellicole sconosciute ma che vengono evidenziate da diversi autori, da diverse liste.
Consigli particolari che mettono curiosità e ci spongono a guardare un determinato film.
E' il caso di Eighth Grade, film dello scorso anno, poco noto ma generalmente apprezzato.
Il classico film da recuperare insomma.
E qui arriva il mio appassionato appello a voi:
Non recuperatelo.
Non è un film brutto ma non è di certo un film bello.
Non è un film che emerge per tecnica, per regia, per sperimentazione.
E' molto noioso.
Non affronta un tema interessante di per se. Segue infatti il periodo di fine pubertà di una ragazza di 13 anni molto timida e disadattata.
Non ha un buon ritmo, è lento e compassato.
Non è unico nel suo genere.
Inoltre rappresenta il classico film capace di esaltare il dualismo serie tv cinema.
Esistono almeno 4-5 serie tv recenti sul tema che risultano molto più belle e ben fatte.
Un film da non vedere insomma.
