Couldn't agree with you more, I would say the vast majority of new content that I come across on Steemit is actually content that has been reseteemed by people I follow, which is really cool as otherwise I would have never stumbled across the post. It's a great way to continue to see new work and actually promote good content within the site! By the way, totally resteeming this!
People need to learn they can't be selfish. Specially if we all want to grow as a community and improve the content everyone is creating. :D
